Changing the List

The list will be updated to reflect changes in heights and drops between mountains. Since the publication of the book in December 2016 the following changes have been made

  • It has been demonstrated that Am Bodach, a Munro in the Mamores near Fort William, has a drop of 500 feet on all sides so this mountain is now included in the list.
  • Mullach an Rathain, the second Munro on the Liathach ridge, has been removed from the list as there is no clear evidence that the drop between this mountain and Spidean a’ Choire Leith is over 500 feet.
  • Cnoc Coinnich, the mountain next to Lochgoilhead in the southern highlands, has been promoted from a Graham to a Corbett following a remeasurement.
